All About My Friends

Me, Stacey, Kami, and Aerren

A big adjustment to college life has been learning to live with a roommate and sharing a bathroom with my suitemates. Aerren is my roommate while Stacey and Kami are my suitemates. Here we are posing in our club jerseys right after initiation. Kami is in Chi Omega Phi, Aerren and Stacey are members of Delta Gamma Rho, and I'm a Kappa Gamma Epsilon girl.

Aerren and I have known each other for the longest time. We cheerlead together in junior high and have been in the same youth group since my freshman year. We have had plans to be roommates ever since we both decided to come to Harding. She is a member of Delta Gamma Rho and is very club dedicated....better not diss her club, she gets pissed (she hates that word). She's a great roommate, except she won't let me talk on the phone all hours of the night - she makes me go to the hall....it's cold out there! Another annoying habit I'm constantly having to put up with is her faithful devotion to watching every single freakin Cub game. But, she's very tolerant of my internet chatting till 4 a.m. and I don't mind too much when she dries her hair at 7 a.m. She's a sophomore accounting major and is dating a senior here. I don't care for him too much, but that's beside the point - if she likes him, I'm happy. Kami is a junior business major from Texas. She's engaged to the love of her life and is anxious to get married. She swears up and down she'll kill anybody in this suite who gets married before her. She's been waiting for a long time. She is the R.A. for our hallway, which is nice when it comes to bathroom check but bad when it comes to burning candles (which is illegal). I'm jealous of her boobs. Kami has an hourglass figure and it's just not fair. Stacey is a sophomore business management major from my hometown. She just got inducted into Delta Gamma Rho this year and is enjoying being a part of the club social life. She is dating a guy from Searcy named Eleazar. Actually, I'm at loss about what to say about Stacey. I would have her come in here and tell you herself, but she's asleep (too much making out!) This picture was taken when Stacey and I bought Aerren a cake that said "Foxy Lady" after we found out she got lip from her new guy. We have to celebrate the little stuff here, plus - I just like icecream cake a whole lot.

Can't forget my high school friends! Me, Laura, Carrie, and Melissa - us four were unseperable. We shared so many good times, from the Olive Garden to Bowling World, to prom and graduation. Laura is currently at school in Tulsa, while Carrie is about an hour away from me at Lyon, and Melissa attends Westark back home.

Oh yes, the studs of the website. John is on the left - I just can't say enough good stuff bout this cute sweetheart! He's incredibly intelligent and is studying at the University of Arkansas on a full-ride scholarship. My best friend Leighton is on the right. He's studying at Hendrix on a full-ride as well. He wants to be a doctor and is currently single...I have his e-mail for all interested girls, ha! This picture was taken at the National Honor Society Convention in Washington, D.C. our senior year. There are some pretty funny memories there too - like their stunt as underwear super heroes - now that was hilarious!

A new thing for me this year was being inducted into Kappa Gamma Epsilon, a womens' social club here at Harding. There are over 100 currently active members - some of whom are becoming my closest friends. Our colors are purple and green and our flower is the red carnation. This picture was taken right after the induction ceremony and is of a few of the 2000 pledge class members.

This picture was taken at my fall function. All the club members and their dates dressed up as famous couples. My date, Mitch, and I went as "Denim Fun Barbie and Ken" It really was a fun costume to pull off. I enjoyed changing my proportions and wearing hot pink lipstick and pink high heels. Not sure how much Mitch liked that tie, but oh well! We even played "Barbie Girl" by Aqua as we drove up. Mitch is a freshman here at Harding, studying to be a youth minister and a preacher.
